Introduction to the Book:

The central importance of Ḥajj and Umrah in Islam is well understood among scholars, yet for the average believer, these rites represent a uniquely transformative and memorable journey—an intimate spiritual encounter with the Divine. Sadly, their deeper significance is often overshadowed by technical juristic debates emphasized in instructional settings.

In Meezan, Javed Ahmed Ghamidi presented these rituals succinctly in light of the Quran and Sunnah, highlighting their essential purpose. Building upon this foundation, Dr. Amir Gazdar later offered a more detailed exposition in Manasik-e-Ḥajj O Umrah. In its revised edition, published by the Ghamidi Center of Islamic Learning, the work now incorporates further scholarly refinements, aiming to restore focus on the true spirit of these sacred rites.
